Dara Alter
Painter
Dara Alter is a Canadian-born visual artist. At fifteen, Dara began studying art under renowned Chinese brush painter, William Ho, and watercolor painter, David McEwen. She received her Honors BA in Studio Art from the University of Guelph in 2009. Dara is currently developing a new body of work that explores our modern perception of land, dimension, and technological perspective. She paints primarily from her imagination using a vivid palette and distorting the map-like representation of the places she has been. Her drawings are stream-of-consciousness renderings that expose the subtle details and nuances of our daily lives in mundane public spaces. Edna Fisher
Sculptor
Edna Fisher is a sculptor who views stone as the quintessence of nature itself. When choosing a piece to carve, she tries to preserve its visible characteristics and integrity. She studies the stone until she is intuitively influenced. Part of this influence is a visual message she receives as a result of its size, shape, color, and texture. Her goal is to stimulate curiosity, fantasy, and sentiment for viewers. Edna has a B.A. in Fine Arts from Rider University, Summa Cum Laude, Johnson Atelier Technical School for Sculpture. She has exhibited at the Grounds for Sculpture, Monmouth Museum (Lincroft), Guild of Creative Art Gallery (Shrewsbury), Red Bank Gallery, Reed House Gallery (Hightstown) and Clifton Art Center. |

Linda Gebhard
Impressionist, Photographer

Samantha Kifer
Artist, Potter
Samantha Kifer is an up-and-coming ceramic artist whose journey began when her intuitive-minded husband had a vision of her being happy as a potter. Distraught over her career path and at odds with her long-standing passion for art versus the economic demands of living in the 21st century, he changed the course of her life forever. Throughout her life, Samantha has dabbled in various forms of visual art including sculpture, drawing, painting and furniture-making. Her current focus is on what she calls "Enrich Your Soul" pottery, which was conceived with the intent of creating positive emotional states via affirmations and messages impressed upon the surface of the works. Through the use of the functional or decorative pieces, the message acts as a gentle reminder to shift towards what is valued in life and bring about new patterns of thought. |
